In late 2008,  I joined in on my very first Twitter conversation, #journchat, and haven’t looked back since. #journchat is a weekly discussion between journalists, bloggers and public relations professionals.  I liked it so much that I helped Sarah Evans (the founder of #journchat) facilitate the first ever #journchat LIVE in Pittsburgh (one of several live cities) last August, along with some partners.

When I began working as a PR pro a few years ago, I was introduced to Cision and again, never looked back. Cision is like the PR pro’s bible. It helps us pitch to the media, which is an essential piece of my job. It even tells us what reporters are tweeting about. Thank you, Cision.

So why am I blogging about these tools? Well, Cision and Sarah Evans have teamed up for the second annual #journchat LIVE. But this time, the live event is only happening in one place. That place? Three words: New. York. City.
