Hi, I’m Deanna!
I am a PR pro from Pittsburgh with a passion for social media, PR, my city, and running. You can find me tweeting at any given time of the day. (For more on my professional life, connect with me on LinkedIn.)

Me and the BF fiancé at the US Open, 2010
This blog is a mix of my professional life as a social media and PR pro, and my personal interests in running and other randomness, as well as Pittsburgh happenings.

At the White House, 2012
I’m a big Steelers fan, love Starbucks and beer, and like to help fellow young professionals and students make it in the professional world. I also got engaged in August 2012, so I’m having a blast planning my October 2013 wedding!
I like to travel and to try new places in my area and beyond to eat, drink, run, etc. I’m always on the go so follow along with me as I live PRetty in Pittsburgh!

Beat you to it! Thanks for your comment. Amazing name
Hi!
I just started following you on Twitter – except I tweet under RMHC (Ronald McDonald House Charities).
Hope all is well in Pittsburgh. Love that you have a blog! I have one too actually. Theearlyriser.blogspot.com
Take care,
Lauren
Hi Lauren! Glad you found my blog and are following me, I will have to check out yours and the RMHC Twitter page. Twitter is easy but I’m still trying to figure out the whole blog process! Anyways, hope all is well in Chicago…now I want some Mickey D’s french fries
Deanna
Hello there! Found your blog through Diana’s (My Marble Rye). Just want to let you know my husband and I are obsessed with LOST as well. It’s good to finally found another blogger who loves that show!! Anyway, good luck training for the half marathon! I did my first half marathon last November. It was life changing. Train hard, fuel well with food and H2O, don’t give up, and put all your heart and mind into it. Your hard work will pay off and you will feel like a new person after you’ve completed your first half marathon. Trust me on that.
Thanks for the comment, Sheila! I just updated my “about” page but totally kept my love of LOST on there. Can you believe there’s only FIVE episodes left??
And thanks for the half marathon motivation! I’m definitely scared but super excited!
Hi Deanna! I just want to say that your blog is very impressive and a great mixture of your personality and topics that appeal to such a wide audience. Your posts are helping me stay in touch with what’s going on in the lovely city and all your adventures
I also have to laugh at your About photos and descriptions!
Keep up the awesome work! I miss you and sharing our passions for PR, Pittsburgh, food & yoga
Hope all is well!
Thanks so much, Natalie! Good to hear from you. Glad I can address all the things I am interested in. I know it’s good to have a more narrow focus but I figure I’m not interested in just one thing so may as well talk about it all
Hope things are well with you in Cleveland! We need to get together one of these days when I visit my family – or when you come back here to visit yours!
Hey thanks for all your support on my blog lately! BTW If I wasn’t in the healthcare field I would have been in some sort of PR/Social media field!! It’s my secret passion….
Thanks for the comment! I enjoy showing love to the other bloggers of the world and yours is entertaining! And don’t worry you can live vicariously through me in my world of PR/social media
Hi Deanna,
I just had to comment to say that I love the categories you’ve divided your blog posts into! Your blog just ties together so well – very creative!
Just wanted to “stop by” to comment. I’m a new member of PRSA Pittsburgh so I’m sure I’ll meet you sometime at a future event!
Take care,
Lauren
Thanks so much, Lauren!
Hi Deanna! I just came across your blog through Maura Me to Love and I’ve really enjoyed reading your content. I like the way you blend your work in social media with you interest in healthy living. Very interesting!
I work in marketing and have gotten jobs lately because of my ability to fill the role of social media maven. I love social media, but it’s tough to stay relevant on everything that’s out there. I’ll be checking back often to see what you have to say.
Best,
Michelle
Thanks for the comment, Michelle! I like a variety of topics so I didn’t want just one focus on here. I will have to check your blog out as well.
